Take me out to the ballgame {Life Lately}

We are not quite sure about this baseball thing.

Wait there is a store?
With Tiaras?
SOLD!

Tiaras were mandatory.
Even for Dad.

A few Fridays ago we went to see the Fresno Grizzlies play.
They are the Farm team for the love of our lives,
The San Francisco Giants.
We had been working up to this outting since Caitlin was a baby.
Because I was always such a nervous first time mom.
What if she cried the whole time?
Would every one stare?
Would they think I was a horrible mother with an uncontrollable child?

I'm so over that now.
So my kids cry over things like ice cream or dropped m&ms.
So what that Caitlin lost it a little when Parker (the mascot) made his grand entrance.
So what that the "nice" usher lady asked Mac to stay in her seat more than once.
It didn't bother me one bit.

The night was beautiful.
A cool night in the nineties for Fresno in late July.
The food was junky and expensive.
Corn dogs and popcorn for dinner.
Ice cream and m&ms for dessert.
Soda all around.
Not really a departure from our normal.
The girls were the girls.
What you'd expect from 5 and 2 year olds.

We laughed and cheered.
We sang "Take me out to the ballgame".
Together.
As a family.

It was exactly what you'd expect from a family of 4.
With a reformed nervous mom.
Who cares more about living in the moment,
and less about being perfect.
